Το Graphic Stories επιστρέφει για 12η χρονιά, αυτή τη φορά στη Λάρνακα

Με διεθνείς ομιλητές, εργαστήρια, έκθεση και βραβεία διαγωνισμού αφίσας

Το 12ο Διεθνές ConFest Οπτικής Επικοινωνίας, Graphic Stories, επιστρέφει δυναμικά το τριήμερο 8–10 Μαΐου 2026, στο Alexander College στη Λάρνακα, επιβεβαιώνοντας τον ρόλο του ως μια από τις σημαντικότερες διεθνής διοργανώσεις οπτικής επικοινωνίας στην Κύπρο.

Για τρεις ημέρες, το Graphic Stories φέρνει κοντά σχεδιαστές, καλλιτέχνες, ερευνητές και δημιουργικούς επαγγελματίες από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό, δημιουργώντας έναν ζωντανό χώρο ανταλλαγής ιδεών, γνώσης και σύγχρονων δημιουργικών πρακτικών.

Διαλέξεις, εγκαίνια έκθεσης αφισών, βραβεύσεις & networking (Π_08|05)

Η πρώτη ημέρα του συνεδρίου, Παρασκευή 8 Μαΐου, είναι αφιερωμένη στις διαλέξεις των ομιλητών μας, Andrei Grosu, Marina Pavlova, Simon Pruciak, Λάκης Αργυρού, Παναγιώτης Βούλγαρης, Βάσια Καλοζούμη, Κώστας Κανελλόπουλος, Μπάμπης Σχοινάς, Γιάννης Χατζηπαναγής.

Το φετινό πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει 9 διαλέξεις γύρω από τον σχεδιασμό, την τυπογραφία, την καλλιγραφία, την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, την πολιτική επικοινωνία, τη σύγχρονη οπτική κουλτούρα, την κοστολόγηση και τη δημιουργική πρακτική, καθώς και ζητήματα προσωπικής και επαγγελματικής ανάπτυξης.

Μετά το πέρας των διαλέξεων θα πραγματοποιηθεί η τελετή βράβευσης του διεθνούς διαγωνισμού αφίσας “Poetry Speaks Loud”, και αμέσως μετά θα ανοίξει για το κοινό η διεθνής έκθεση αφισών με τα επιλεγμένα έργα, όπως αυτά προέκυψαν μέσα από τη διαδικασία αξιολόγησης του διαγωνισμού. Η ποίηση είναι ο παλμός της ανθρώπινης ψυχής. Είναι ο ρυθμός που μετατρέπει τη σιωπή σε φωνή, τα συναισθήματα σε εικόνες και τις λέξεις σε πνοή. Όπως ο ποιητής σμιλεύει τη γλώσσα, ο σχεδιαστής σμιλεύει το φως, το χρώμα και τη μορφή. Όταν η ποίηση συναντά τον σχεδιασμό, γεννιέται μια νέα γλώσσα, μια οπτική παγκόσμια γλώσσα που προάγει τον πολιτισμό, αναδεικνύει την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά και μιλάει απευθείας στην καρδιά.

Η κριτική επιτροπή του διαγωνισμού αποτελείται από καταξιωμένους δημιουργούς διεθνούς εμβέλειας, όπως οι David Carson, José Luis Hernández Díaz “Chepe”, Shangning Wang, Jiayan He, Behnam Raeesian και Αρίσταρχος Παπαδανιήλ.

Η έκθεση προσφέρει μια μοναδική εμπειρία θέασης 50 έργων από δημιουργούς από όλο τον κόσμο, σε συνδυασμό με μια βραδιά δικτύωσης.

Η έκθεση είναι ανοιχτή και δωρεάν για το κοινό και θα διαρκέσει έως τις 22 Μαΐου 2026.

3 εργαστήρια με πρακτική εμπειρία (ΣΚ_09-10|05)

Το Σαββατοκύριακο 9–10 Μαΐου φιλοξενεί εξειδικευμένα εργαστήρια με περιορισμένο αριθμό συμμετεχόντων:

• Μπάμπης Σχοινάς – Από το Μηδέν στην Επιτυχία: Η επιχειρηματική πλευρά του Design
• Marina Pavlova – Blackletter Calligraphy για αρχάριους
• Λάκης Αργυρού – Ο ήχος της σιωπής: Ένα βιωματικό ταξίδι στην ποίηση της επικοινωνίας

Τα εργαστήρια απευθύνονται όχι μόνο σε σχεδιαστές, αλλά και σε όποιον ενδιαφέρεται για τη δημιουργικότητα, την επικοινωνία, την καλλιγραφία και την προσωπική ή επαγγελματική ανάπτυξη.

Ένας θεσμός για την οπτική επικοινωνία

Το Graphic Stories συνεχίζει να αναδεικνύει τη σημασία της οπτικής επικοινωνίας στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία, δημιουργώντας γέφυρες μεταξύ της δημιουργικής κοινότητας, της εκπαίδευσης και της κοινωνίας.

Η διοργάνωση πραγματοποιείται από το Graphic Stories Cyprus, σε συνεργασία με το Alexander College και με την υποστήριξη του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού – Τμήμα Σύγχρονου Πολιτισμού. Τη διοργάνωση διαχρονικά στηρίζει το Cyprus Computer Society και η Kemanes PrintShop.

Το Graphic Stories έχει επιλεγεί από την European Festivals Association (EFA) ως ένα από τα καλύτερα φεστιβάλ στην Ευρώπη, λαμβάνοντας το EFFE Label 2026–2027, και είναι μέλος της World Industrial Design Association(WIDA).

Graphic Stories returns, this time to Larnaca, for its 12th edition

With international speakers, workshops, exhibition and poster contest awards

The 12th International ConFest on Visual Communication, Graphic Stories, returns dynamically on 8–10 May 2026 at Alexander College in Larnaca, reaffirming its role as one of the most important international visual communication events in Cyprus.

For three days, Graphic Stories brings together designers, artists, researchers and creative professionals from Cyprus and abroad, creating a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and contemporary creative practices.

Lectures, exhibition opening, awards & networking (F_08|05)

The first day of the conference, Friday 8 May, is dedicated to the lectures of our invited speakers:
Andrei Grosu, Marina Pavlova, Simon Pruciak, Lakis Argyrou, Panayiotis Voulgaris, Vassia Kalozoumi, Kostas Kanellopoulos, Babis Schoinas and Yiannis Hadjipanayis.

This year’s program includes 9 lectures covering topics such as design, typography, calligraphy, artificial intelligence, political communication, contemporary visual culture, pricing and creative practice, as well as personal and professional development.

Following the lectures, the award ceremony of the international poster contest “Poetry Speaks Loud” will take place. Immediately after, the international poster exhibition will open to the public, presenting selected works as they emerged through the competition’s evaluation process. Poetry is the pulse of the human soul. It is the rhythm that turns silence into voice, emotions into images, and words into breath. Just as the poet sculpts language, the designer sculpts light, color, and form. When poetry meets design, a new language is born, a visual, universal language that promotes culture, highlights cultural heritage and speaks directly to the heart.

The jury of the competition consists of internationally acclaimed professionals, including David Carson, José Luis Hernández Díaz “Chepe”, Shangning Wang, Jiayan He, Behnam Raeesian and Aristarchos Papadaniel.

The exhibition presents 50 selected works by designers from around the world, offering a unique viewing experience combined with an evening of networking.

The exhibition is open and free to the public and will run until 22 May 2026.

The competition prizes are offered by Parachute® Typefoundry, while the trophies are provided by Alexander College.

3 workshops with hands-on experience (SS_09–10|05)

During the weekend of 9–10 May, the program continues with specialised workshops with a limited number of participants:

• Babis Schoinas – Zero to Hero: The Design Business
• Marina Pavlova – Blackletter Calligraphy for Beginners
• Lakis Argyrou – The Sound of Silence: An Experiential Journey into the Poetry of Communication

The workshops are aimed not only to designers, but also to anyone interested in creativity, communication, calligraphy and personal or professional development.

A platform for visual communication

Graphic Stories continues to highlight the importance of visual communication in contemporary society, building bridges between the creative community, education and society.

The event is organised by Graphic Stories Cyprus, in collaboration with Alexander College, and with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture – Department of Contemporary Culture. The event is consistently supported by the Cyprus Computer Society and Kemanes PrintShop.

Graphic Stories has been selected by the European Festivals Association (EFA) as one of the best festivals in Europe, receiving the EFFE Label 2026–2027, and is a member of the World Industrial Design Association (WIDA).
